Begin by restarting the printer, the device and the wireless router.

  1. If the printer is already turned on, remove the power cord while it is turned on.
  2.  Pull out the power cord from the rear end of the printer and then from the power supply.
  3. Allow the printer to remain idle for a few minutes.
  4. Connect the power cord back to the printer and turn it on after connecting it to the wireless connection.
  5. To restart the device, click on the power icon and choose restart.
  6. Give the device some time to power back up after a few minutes.
  7. Move over to the wireless network and press and hold the power button down.

  3. Choose the Control Panel and select Printers and Drivers.
  4. Locate the desired printer from the list and click on it.
  5. Choose Set as Default from the options that are available below the printer.
  6. The printer will now be set as the default printer after the changes have been applied.

Check the wireless connection

  1. Ensure the wireless connection is active. The connection should be stable and active.
  2. Move over to the printer and restart the network settings.
  3. Establish a connection between the printer and the wireless connection.
  4. Press and hold the WPS button on the printer and the wireless router.
