HP Envy Printer Won’t print Issue on Mac

First, you have to ensure the error and its reason for occurring. Mac system may have certain restrictions and security to add products/devices to it. Connect through the given steps by ensuring certain points for efficient work.

Points to be noted:

  • Make sure the driver Software that is installed on the Mac is to its latest.
  • Try to ensure whether the Mac OS is active. Confirm whether the HP printer driver and Mac OS are compatible with each other.
  • Be sure with the power and other connectivity issues.
  • Other hardware issues.

Once, you have investigated and analyzed the above points to identify the printer error- proceed below for a better result in troubleshooting.

  • First, you have to connect the HP Envy printer and Mac to the same network. Either, you can prefer a 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you are enabled with the Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz & 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, your printer may not able to connect to the network.
  • If still this issue persists, try to call your Internet service provider to rectify the needs and do it immediately to get back the printing work using the Mac system.

Check for any software updates on Mac

  • Initially, you must ensure the interface connection of your printer and Mac system.
  • Open the Mac system and proceed with the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
  • Then, you have to wait until the update process completes.

Install the printer using the AirPrint driver.

  • First, use the Apple icon> system Preferences to choose the Print & Scan or Printers / Scanners.
  • Wait for your printer’s name on the list of printers and choose the printer name. If want to remove it, use the minus sign to delete the printer.
  • If you suspect multiple printer queues for the same printer, try to remove all the extra printers by marking one at a time and finalize with the minus button at the bottom of the list.
  • Now, use the plus sign and click to Add Printer or Scanner> printer name.
  • Finally, you have to use the Use or Print Using menu, and pick the AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Finalize with Add option.

Now, try to attempt the print work using your active Mac.
