HP Envy 7640 Won’t Connect To Wifi

Making a connection between the HP Envy 7640 printer and wifi network is a simple process. However, sometimes the printer might fail to connect with the wireless network. In such a situation, you do not have to worry as fixing this issue is easily possible.

Methods to fix the HP Envy 7640 printer not connecting to the Wifi issue

Step 1: Restart the Envy printer, computer, and wireless router

  • Deactivate the wall outlet and HP Envy 7640 printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and wall outlet.
  • Then, power off the computer connected to the computer.
  • After that, switch off the wireless router.
  • Wait for a few minutes.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the HP printer and wall outlet.
  • Activate the wall outlet and HP Envy printer.
  • Then, power up the computer and wireless router.

Step 2: Change the location of the Envy printer

  • Access the computer and choose the Start option.
  • Then, go to the control panel option and select- Devices.

  • Now, right-click on your HP printer name and choose- Set as default printer.

If you experience the same problem again, then continue to the next step.

Step 4: Printer driver update

  • Go to the computer and uninstall the HP Envy 7640 driver.
  • Search for the printer driver compatible with the computer OS version.
  • Once you find the driver, download and open its setup file on the computer.
  • Follow the on-screen procedure and finish the driver installation process.
  • Finally, try printing with the wireless Envy printer.

Step 5: Uninstall and reinstall the HP Envy 7640 printer

  • Click on the Start menu given on the computer.
  • Move on to the Settings folder and choose- Devices.

  • Click- Remove Device and move on to the Printers & Scanners section.
