Unable To Reconnect My HP Deskjet 2540 to A New Router

Connecting the HP Deskjet 2540 printer to the new wifi router is easy. For this, you need a stable printer, router, and wifi network. However, sometimes the printer might be unable to connect with the router. In such a situation, you don’t have to take stress as resolving this problem is quite easy.

In this blog, you will get the simple method to resolve the problem and reconnect the printer to the new router.

If your HP Deskjet 2540 printer is not reconnecting to the new router, then try the method below to resolve it and reconnect.

  • Firstly, check the DJ printer and ensure it has no problem.
  • Then, ensure the router is stable and has an active wifi network.
  • Access the HP 2540 printer and go to its control panel.
  • Choose the setup menu and restore the network settings to default settings.
  • After that, press the DJ printer wireless button and cancel button at the same time. Do not leave both buttons for 5 seconds.

Note: The cancel button is on the printer control panel.

  • After that, keep the DJ printer close to the wireless router.
  • Move on to the WPS button of the printer and press it. Do not leave the WPS button until the wifi light flashes.
  • Now, press and do not leave the wireless button of the router within 2 minutes until the connectivity process starts.
